Neil at NJ Geddes fine jewellery, helped design and create the most perfect engagement ring for my now fiancée, Katie!

After asking Katie's Dad back in October last year, I had considered other more mainstream jewellers to create the engagement ring but after hearing my Dad's positive experiences with Neil, we arranged to meet to discuss the brief.

The brief on this occasion was to create a brand new ring incorporating diamonds from two of Katie's Grandma's rings. A hugely sentimental piece to create which meant the trust really had to be there that Neil would do the business.

After talking through various design ideas and showing me pieces with the options I could have, we agreed on a design that would be created over the Christmas period. There was never any doubt after the first conversation that Neil has the skill and experience to really bring to life the vision I had of a perfect ring that incorporated the stones of special significance.

After booking the bespoke experience in, the challenge was set to have the ring made and ready for collection before Christmas 2023 and after regular updates on progress, I collected it with time to spare!

And wow, what a fantastic job!

The ring is exactly what I was looking for and what we had designed just a few weeks earlier had been brought to life! The perfect combination of the sentimental stones with a platinum band, it’s safe to say I was blown away.

I booked a jewellery experience at Grantley Hall for my wife’s big birthday. With Neil’s guidance we managed to keep it a secret and the surprised look on her face made the day magical.
Neil was well organised and friendly and always very professional. With his assistance, great knowledge and a glass of champagne, a bespoke pair of diamond earrings were gradually designed giving her a unique pair to complement an existing pendant. As we sat there finishing our drink Neil sourced a matching pair of top quality diamonds.

I had secret conversations with Neil before our meeting at the hotel so he could be fully prepared to develop our ideas and then afterwards to ensure we got exactly the earrings my wife wanted.
When we went to his shop to pick up the finished handmade earrings we were not disappointed, the earrings were stunning and the experience was more like visiting an old friend rather than a shop, we were not rushed and again Neil and the surroundings made my wife feel very special.
The earrings were beautifully presented in a box tied with ribbon, the diamond certificates and valuation paperwork completed the package and of course we had time for a drink and a long chat.

From start to finish everything was perfect. The hotel was exceptional and booking this package gave a good discount on the two day stay. A five star jeweller and a five star hotel.
